  • For mixed bacterial and vulvovaginal infections

Indications

  • Arauvinal vaginal pessaries are indicated or used for the following vaginal infections:
  • Neisseria gonorrhoeae: gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by infection with the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae (infection of the mucous membranes of the reproductive system, including the cervix, uterus and fallopian tubes in women .
  • Mycoplasma genitalium (or Mgen): is a sexually transmitted disease that infects the opening of the uterus, urethra or rectum.
  • Chlamydia or Trichomoniasis vaginitis (or “trich)”: a protozoan parasitic infection: unusual discharge from the vagina, which may be fine and light gray or white pus in the urine (pyuria). a strong fishy or musty smell coming from the vagina.
  • Yeast infection or Candida vulvovaginitis: A vaginal yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of a fungus called candida. It causes itching or irritation around the vagina, burning during urination.
  • Haemophilus vaginalis vaginitis: a newly defined specific infection caused by a single microbiota Hemophilus caginalis, Hemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pyogenes in young girls (juvenile vulvovaginitis) presents symptoms with an erythematous and painful vulva and vagina.
