Oxarin 60mg/0.6ml injection

Composition

Each 0.6ml contains: Enoxaparin sodium 60mg

Description

  • For the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and prevent pulmonary embolism.
  • A trusted anticoagulant

Indications

  1. Oxarin is indicated for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) which can lead to pulmonary embolism:
    • To prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis (blood clots), which can occur as a complication during orthopedic surgery such as hip or knee surgery or an intra-abdominal procedure (in the body cavity beneath the diaphragm containing the stomach, intestines, liver and other organs);
    • Prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis in hospitalized patients at risk of thromboembolic complications (obstruction of a blood vessel by a blood clot) due to severely restricted mobility during acute illnesses (heart failure [reduced capacity of the heart to pump blood], respiratory) failure or serious chest infections);
    • Treat deep vein thrombosis with or without pulmonary embolism (blockage of blood vessels in the lungs).
  2. Prophylaxis of ischemic complications of unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction
    OXARIN is indicated for the prophylaxis of ischemic complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, when administered concomitantly with aspirin.
  3. Treatment of acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction
    Administered concurrently with aspirin, OXARIN has been shown to reduce the combined effect rate of recurrent myocardial infarction or death in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). ).
  4. Prevention of thrombus formation during hemodialysis
    • Deep vein thrombosis prophylaxis, abdominal surgery
    • Deep vein thrombosis prophylaxis, knee arthroplasty
    • Deep vein thrombosis prophylaxis, hip arthroplasty
    • Prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis in medical patients
    • Acute deep vein thrombosis without pulmonary embolism, hospital treatment
    • Unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction
    • Acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation in patients younger than 75 years
    • Acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation in patients aged ≥ 75 years
  5. Reduce the dose in patients with severe renal impairment
    • Prophylaxis in abdominal surgery
    • Prophylaxis in hip replacement or knee surgery
    • Prophylaxis in hospitalized patients with an acute illness
    • Hospital treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis with or without pulmonary embolism, when administered in combination with warfarin sodium.
    • Pulmonary embolism treatment
    • Outpatient treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis without pulmonary embolism, when administered in combination with warfarin sodium
    • Prophylaxis of ischemic complications of unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction, when administered simultaneously with aspirin
    • Treatment of acute myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation in patients aged less than 75 years, in combination with aspirin
    • Treatment of acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in patients over 75 years of age in combination with aspirin
    • Prevention of coagulation in the extracorporeal circuit during hemodialysis
